SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS                                                                                                                                                                                         (12TH AUGUST 2018)

  

1.    Tomorrow / Today is Prison Ministry Sunday.  There will be a special second collection after Holy Communion towards Prison Ministry which will go to the Archbishop’s House.  Please contribute generously.

 

2.    Wednesday 15th August is the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Independence Day.   It is a Day of Obligation.  Masses in the morning are at 6.00, 7.00, 8.30 and 9.30.  There is no evening Mass.  After the 7.00 a.m. Mass our National Flag will be hoisted for the school children and parishioners in the church compound.  Parishioners who are unable to attend Mass on 15th Aug. may attend the 7.00 p.m. Mass on 14th August to fulfil their obligation.

 

3.    Those who wish to donate flags or sarees during the Novenas of Our Lady of Health Vailankanni, can do so on Wednesday 15th Aug. after the 9.30 a.m. Mass in the Sacristy on a first come first serve basis.  The cost of the flag is Rs.2500/- each.  Please note that no flags will be accepted after this date.

 

4.    Hope and Life Association is organizing a recollection for their members on Friday 17th Aug. at St Anthony’s Church, Malavni, Malad West. Kindly assemble at 7.45 a.m. sharp in the church compound.

 

5.    The sale of sarees will be on Sunday 19th August after the 9.15 a.m. Mass.

 

6.    The first General Meeting of the Vailankanni Palki Committee is next Sunday 19th Aug. at 10.30 a.m. and 7.00 p.m. sharp.

 

7.    Holy Cross Medical Trust is organizing a Bone Density – Osteoporosis Camp on Friday 17th Aug. from 3.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. at a concessional rate of Rs.30/-. All are requested to avail of the facility.

 

8.    On Monday 13th August the priests of our parish will continue visits to St. Michael’s Community, Culbavour from 6.30 p.m. onwards.  We request the family members to be present in their homes during this visitation.
